4 Ways to Love Yourself More (Part 2)
This is the 2nd tip in a 4-part series that will assist you to love your beautiful self even more.
You’ve probably heard the quote: “Hurt people hurt people.”
Think about that for a minute. Isn’t it often true that the people that have hurt you the most are those who are so hurt themselves that they attempt to make themselves feel better by engaging in a quick “put-down” towards someone else?
Yes, one of the easiest ways you can give yourself a boost is to belittle someone else. It may make you feel better about yourself for a moment. But then, you have to quickly go looking for the next person to put down, and so on. Just to keep your pesky ego up. That’s exactly what fuels gossip!
What about trying a new approach? One that is uplifting and lasting. One that truly blesses both you and others.
Wellness Tip 2: Reach Out to a Friend.
The Experiment: Reach out to a Friend. A good friend. One that you can trust. Tell him that you are engaged in an experiment to love yourself more. In a wonderful way. Ask if she would be willing to help you. Perhaps even join you in the daily Mirror Work that we discussed in Part 1’s tip.
Covenant with your friend that you will phone, text, or email her daily for one week. Positive words. About the both of you. Support makes all the difference so that you don’t give up on your quest for more self-love. A friend can help to remind you that you are worth loving.

Silence Your Inner Critic: You’re not sure that you can find a trusted friend. Or that you or your friend has time for this practice. Give it a go anyway. Step out in faith. Others will respond with the measure of love that you give to them. Go for it and you will find joy and blessing!
