Welcome to our website! As a Preventive Medicine physician, I want to be your guide in my blog and on this website as we love ourselves to Total Wellness! Check out all of the blog posts on the home page. Sign up to receive free updates and freebies!

Unlike some that insist we improve our health out of fear, shame, guilt or criticism, we do just the opposite!  We seek to develop such loving-kindness for ourselves and others that we naturally discover Total Wellness.

Total wellness lovingly integrates all parts of ourselves into one beautiful whole. Our body, mind & soul are not separate but deeply connected. Each sphere affects and responds to the others. Our wellness journey will uncover ways that we can bring all areas of ourselves into loving harmony. life-coaching-style-in-napa-california

In case you would like to know a little more about me and my credentials, keep reading!

I am an M.D., licensed both in the states of California and Texas, and currently have a practice in Northern California at the Bilhartz Women’s Health Center in Vallejo.  I am board-certified by the American College of Preventive Medicine, with a specialty in Occupational Medicine.

I also am a medical coach, teacher, speaker, author, and consultant for businesses, churches, schools, medical providers, and persons who want to discover more about loving-kindness and the body, mind, and soul connections.

I graduated from Texas A&M Medical School, completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, TX, as well as a specialty residency in Preventive Medicine, Public Health, and Environmental and Occupational Medicine at the University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center.

I also hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Public Health, and a Certificate in “Botanicals and Health” from the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine. I have done extensive study on wellness and preventive health, including specialty areas in lifestyle changes and hormone replacement therapy.

I am a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

One of the fun facts about me is that before I became a physician, I was a music teacher, and obtained a Master of Arts degree in music from Sam Houston State University.

I enjoy reading, gardening, and practicing yoga in my spare time.  I find great satisfaction in spending time with my family and taking long walks in nature.
